Find the right starting point for your recovery and performance.
When Pain Keeps You Sidelined, We Know Where to Look
Whether it's a nagging knee that flares up during runs, a shoulder that won't cooperate since your last baseball season, or back pain disrupting your daily routine, we dig into the root cause and build a targeted plan.
Back and Neck Pain That Slows You Down
People come to us when back or neck pain is getting in the way of their training, their work, or daily life. We trace the problem to its root and address it with a direct, individualized plan.
- Low back pain
- Neck pain and stiffness
- Herniated disc
- Disc degeneration
- Sciatica
- Piriformis syndrome
Getting to the source is the only way to prevent the issue from coming back. We make sure you leave with a real understanding of what's driving your pain.

The Knee Issues Every Active Person Faces
Knee pain is one of the most common reasons active adults and athletes end up on the sidelines. Whether it's a nagging overuse issue or a post-surgical recovery, we build a plan around the root cause.
- Runner's knee (patellofemoral pain)
- IT band syndrome
- ACL injury and recovery
- Meniscus issues
- Patellar tendinopathy
- Post-surgical knee rehab
We don't just address the pain. We rebuild the strength and movement quality that keeps it from coming back during your next run, match, or training cycle.

When Your Shoulder Becomes the Weak Link
Shoulder injuries are among the most disruptive for athletes and active adults. Whether it's a rotator cuff issue, a nagging ache from overhead work, or a post-surgical recovery, we get to the root of it.
- Rotator cuff issues
- Shoulder impingement
- Labral tear
- Biceps tendinopathy
- Tennis elbow
- Shoulder post-surgical recovery
All care is one-on-one and hands-on, built around restoring the strength and range of motion your sport demands.

Ankle and Foot Pain That Holds You Back
Ankle sprains, Achilles issues, and plantar fascia pain are common in runners, tennis players, and anyone logging high-impact hours. We trace the mechanical cause and build resilience back in.
- Ankle sprain and instability
- Achilles tendinopathy
- Plantar fascia pain
- Peroneal tendinopathy
- Stress fracture recovery
- Post-surgical ankle rehab
The goal isn't just getting you back on your feet. It's getting you back to running, competing, and training without the constant worry of re-injury.

Hip and Pelvis Pain, Addressed at the Root
Hip and pelvis problems often show up as pain in places that seem unrelated. We trace the mechanics, identify the actual driver, and build a plan that addresses the issue directly.
- Hip impingement (FAI)
- Labral tear
- Groin pain
- Hip flexor issues
- Piriformis syndrome
- Post-surgical hip recovery
Many patients tell us no one had ever explained exactly why their hip kept hurting. That changes on day one.

Sport-Specific Injuries Handled Right
Tennis, pickleball, soccer, baseball, running. Sport-specific injuries require a provider who understands the demands of competition. We know the sport, the mechanics, and how to get you back to both.
- Return-to-sport programming
- Sport-specific movement screening
- Overuse injury management
- Pre-season training and prehab
- Post-surgical return to competition
- Recurring sport injuries
Every plan includes formal return-to-sport testing so you know exactly when you're cleared to compete, not just when the pain subsides.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most patients come in with a few key questions. Here's what we hear most often, and our answers.
Do I need a referral to work with you?
No referral needed. Stark Performance Physical Therapy is a direct access clinic, which means you can schedule a discovery call and start care without seeing your primary care doctor or specialist first. We make the first step as simple as possible.
What types of injuries and conditions do you work with?
We work with a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related issues, including ankle sprains, rotator cuff problems, ACL recovery, back pain, and sport-specific overuse injuries. If it's keeping you from your training or daily routine, we can help you get to the root of it and build a plan.
What's the difference between your three services?
Sports PT focuses on injury recovery and return to sport. Performance Training is for athletes who want to move beyond rehab and build real athletic capacity. Manual Therapy uses hands-on techniques like dry needling and joint mobilization as part of a complete plan of care.
Is cash-based PT worth it without insurance coverage?
Cash-based care means full, one-on-one attention from a Doctor of PT with no insurance-driven limits on session time or care quality. You get real focus and a real plan, not a cookie-cutter protocol. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How long does recovery typically take?
Recovery timelines depend on the injury, how long it has been present, and the patient's goals. We give you a clear plan and realistic timeline from your first evaluation so you know what to expect from the start, not weeks into care.
