Sports Physical Therapy in Pensacola, FL
Don't Let Pain Bench Your Season
Most athletes who come to us have already tried rest, primary care, and maybe another round of PT. They keep getting the same generic protocol, and the same injury comes back. At Stark Performance, we take a different approach. We spend a full hour with you, one-on-one, identifying what is actually driving the problem so we can fix it at the source.

What Happens When You Keep Working Around the Injury Instead of Fixing It
More Time on the Sidelines
Without fixing the root cause, the same injury keeps resurfacing. Training becomes inconsistent and the season gets shorter every time the problem flares up again.
The Same Injury, Over and Over
Compensating around an injury creates movement patterns that set up the next one. The body keeps finding ways to cope until something finally breaks down for good.
No Real Answers, No Clear Plan
Being handed exercises without an explanation leaves you guessing. Knowing what is wrong and why gives you the power to stay ahead of it, not just manage it visit to visit.
The Difference Between Managing Pain and Getting Back to Your Sport
Standard PT gives you a program and a timer. At Stark Performance, every visit is one-on-one with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. We track how you are moving, adjust the plan as you improve, and never hand you off to a tech. The work does not stop until you are back doing what you love at full capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about sports physical therapy at Stark Performance? Here is what we hear most often.
Do I need a referral to start sports physical therapy?
No referral is required. Stark Performance is a direct access practice, which means you can contact us, book a free discovery call, and get started with an initial evaluation without a referral from your physician or surgeon.
Why would I pay out-of-pocket when I have insurance?
In-network PT typically means 15 to 30 minutes per session, shared attention with multiple patients, and constraints set by your insurance carrier, not your injury. At Stark Performance, every session is a full hour with a Doctor of PT, one-on-one, with a plan built entirely around your goals. Superbills are available for patients who want to self-submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
How long will my recovery take?
It depends on the nature and severity of the injury, your history, and your goals. What we can tell you is that you will have a clear timeline from your very first evaluation. You will know the plan, the milestones, and what to expect at each stage.
Do you work with recreational athletes, not just professionals?
Absolutely. The same clinical principles that guide elite athlete rehabilitation apply to every active adult and recreational athlete. Whether you play in a weekend tennis league or train for your next marathon, you get the same level of attention, expertise, and personalized care.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your first appointment is a full biomechanical evaluation. We assess how you move, identify the root cause of the problem, and build a custom plan of care before you leave. You will walk out knowing exactly what is wrong, why it is happening, and what comes next.
