Performance Training in Pensacola, FL

Performance That Goes Beyond Pain-Free

Pain-free is a starting line, not a finish line. Athletes who come to Stark Performance want more: to move without limits, compete without hesitation, and train with a body that holds up over the long term. Whether you are finishing up PT or preparing for your next season, we build the programming that bridges the gap.

What You Risk When Recovery Stops at Just Feeling Better Again

Strength and Capacity You Never Rebuilt

Going from pain to pain-free without rebuilding strength and power leaves gaps that show up in the next hard training block or competitive season. The body returns to baseline but never exceeds it.

Movement Patterns That Set Up the Next Injury

Without correcting the compensations that developed during injury, the same deficiencies that caused the first problem will cause the next one. The pattern repeats until something changes.

Hitting a Ceiling in Your Training

Without a structured progression built around your specific goals, training plateaus quickly. More effort produces diminishing returns when foundational movement problems go uncorrected.

How It Works

What to Expect at Every Step of Your Recovery

Find the Root Cause

Your first session is a full biomechanical assessment. We find the root cause of your pain and build a plan around it, not around a generic protocol.

Fix Your Pain

Every session is one-on-one, hands-on, and targeted to your specific situation. Treatment begins right away, and progress is measured from the start.

Get Back to What You Love

You leave with more than a recovered injury. You leave with the knowledge, strength, and conditioning to stay active and healthy long after discharge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about performance training at Stark Performance? Here is what athletes ask us most often.

Is performance training the same as personal training?

No. Performance training at Stark Performance is guided by a Doctor of Physical Therapy or a certified athletic trainer with clinical experience. We account for your injury history, movement limitations, and performance goals in ways standard personal training does not. It is more targeted, more clinically grounded, and built around your actual capacity.

When am I ready for performance training instead of PT?

Our team will help you identify the right transition point based on how your body is responding to PT. There is no arbitrary cutoff. When you have the tissue capacity, range of motion, and movement quality to progress safely, we start building performance on top of that foundation.

Do I need to be a competitive athlete to benefit from this?

Not at all. Anyone who wants to move better, build strength, reduce injury risk, or stay active for the long term benefits from performance training. You do not need a sport or competition goal. You just need to want more than a basic maintenance routine.

What is blood flow restriction training?

Blood flow restriction, or BFR training, uses a specialized cuff to partially restrict venous blood flow during exercise. This allows you to build significant strength at much lower loads, which is especially useful early in recovery when high-load exercise is not yet safe. It is widely used in elite sports rehabilitation settings.

Is performance training covered by insurance?

Stark Performance is a cash-based practice. Performance training is not billed through insurance. Superbills are available on request for patients who want to self-submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We accept HSA and FSA cards.
